I love this book. Rendered in inks and then edited in Photoshop, this book's illustrations are sufficiently sketchy, colorful and dynamic for me to love. The ample white space on the pages make the vignettes stand out and seem more dynamic.Illustrations and text are both infused with humor. There is a lot of detail in the illustrations that both children and adults alike will enjoy discovering. My favorite is one where one monster is reading a book entitled "Where the Normal Things Are". This book is fun and dynamic, artfully rendered, silly and yet offers a heartfelt message.
