Review: Sulwe

Sulwe Sulwe by Lupita Nyong'o
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An important read, and a lyrical one at that. I love the stylization of a lot of the illustrations, I just wish the illustrations of Sulwe look less...digitally created.

Review: Such a Good Boy

Such a Good Boy Such a Good Boy by Marianna Coppo
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I have SUPER mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand it looks like Christian Robinson's illustrations in Gaston, but it also felt...mean. The dog doesn't like being a trained dog, so it leaves? Mmm...a lot more to unpack here than just a lesson on "being yourself."
