A Home for Bird by Philip C. SteadMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
This book about friendship is very sweet and is reflected throughout the sketchy illustrations done in crayon, pencil and watercolor. The integration of text and illustration is masterful, unobtrusive and helps move the story forward. I look forward to reading this to my story time kids and having them tell me about Bird's inanimate state. Such a sweet and faithful story.
