With When Sophie Gets Angry -- Really, Really Angry and Picture This: How Pictures Work being so important to my grad school years studying Children's Literature, I had high hopes for this sequel. While the illustrations are Bang's typical style and technically effective in conveying the necessary emotions, the design of the book feels very, well 1990s. Oftentimes the text blends into the illustrations and the font is just difficult to read.
