Agatha by Anna Pignataro
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Agatha is a little different than the other kids, though sometimes being different isn't all that bad.
The sentiment of this picturebook is there, a very distinct teachable sentiment. But it is very heavy handed and didactic. I enjoy the use of white space and the sketchiness of the illustrations, which offer a child-like rendering of the characters. The mixed media also offers nice layers of depth to the artwork.
