This charming picturebook follows the hibernation cycle of bear cubs through the year in calming rhymed verse.
The illustrations are gorgeously rendered in pencil and screen printing and I particularly appreciate the bee swarms and flowers. Overall, Turley's illustrations really make this picturebook, unfortunately the verse is lackluster. It is skillfully written, but just does not stand out among other picturebooks.
