Dinosaurs. Rockets. Rhythm.
An easy sell for the dino and/or space enthusiasts. The narrative itself is straight-forward: arrive at rocket, board rocket, count down, land, return. There are not any twists, surprises or great narrative leaps. However, it is solid in its soothing rhythms and the double-page spread depicting "lift-off" really showcases the illustrator's talent using pencil and watercolor. Whereas the dinosaur illustrations can be a bit garish in color in style, this spread is beautifully rendered. I would hang it on my wall.
