A boy wants to play in the fresh snow, but he has to wait for his grandfather!

This watercolor and ink picturebook has beautiful details and a sense of impatience. My favorite spread is the one where the boy looks outside and there is all that white, untouched snow just waiting to be jumped in. The story took an unexpected turn and I wish it had stayed with the suspense of snow being walked in. I was really hoping to see the white slowly disappear as more and more people walked through the snow. But I guess that is a story for another day.
