Review: Oh No, Astro!

Oh No, Astro! Oh No, Astro! by Matt Roeser
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Astro liked his personal space. Imagine how he felt when a satellite decided to get too close to him and then knock him out of his orbit!?

This picturebook has it all--an adorable asteroid, a stargazing girl and an action-packed wild ride to Earth. Using a limited color-palette of teal, red, yellow, black and white, the illustrations depict motion with ease. The illustrations tell so much more of the story than the limited text. Astro is sassy, has a range of emotions and interacts with other celestial bodies to great effect.

This is a book to read again and again. Pair it with Orion and the Dark for a subtle space theme.
