Mini finds a dog wearing yellow shoes and doesn't want to look for her owner. But after the dog runs away and is found at the pound, Mini realizes that the owner must miss the dog too.
Rendered in pencil with only splashes of yellow and minor touches of red, the black & white illustrations in this picturebook almost feel like a throwback to earlier picturebook styles. The expressins and animation of the characters-human and dog alike are profoundly amusing, exaggerated and cartoon-like which offers an interesting contrast with the pencil drawings.
A fun read.
