I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was excited to continue with the premise. The second book, however, falls trap to many 2nd books in a trilogy and is just a holding pattern until the action of the third.

I found this novel to be incredibly slow, boring and annoying. The tension between Mal and Alina felt forced, and the possible love triangles just made me roll my eyes. I did not enjoy this book and was relieved when it was over. I will not be finishing the trilogy.
